Your wedding day will be a highlight of your life. A civil ceremony allows you to choose the venue, the words and the people who take part. Your celebrant will work with you to make sure your ceremony is how you want it to be.

The official paperwork needs to be completed one month and one day before the proposed wedding date. You will need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage form and the celebrant needs to see your birth certificates and proof of the end of any previous marriages.

Most people choose to meet with their celebrant as soon as they decide on a date and location for their wedding ceremony. This leaves plenty of time for creating a special ceremony just for you.
